Terms of Use

For Jade Finance and the Jade Finance web app, operated by CIBINC.
Effective September 6, 2026.

By creating an account or using Jade Finance you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Your account

You must provide a valid email address and verify it before you can sign in.
You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity under your account.
You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and at least 13.
Each account belongs to one person. Anyone who joins your organization can see and edit that organization's expenses and invoices — add people accordingly.

Plans and payment

Jade Finance has a free plan and a premium plan.

Free plan — limited to 10 expenses and 5 invoices per calendar month. The limits reset at the start of each month.
Premium — removes those limits and unlocks premium features. It is available as an auto-renewing monthly subscription or as a one-time purchase.

Subscriptions

Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
A subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period, at the price shown at purchase.
You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
The one-time purchase is not a subscription and does not renew. If you buy it while a subscription is active, you must cancel the subscription yourself — the app stores do not allow us to cancel it for you.

Refunds

Purchases are handled by Apple and Google, so refunds are governed by their policies and must be requested from them. We cannot issue refunds for store purchases directly.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the service unlawfully, or upload content you do not have the right to upload.
Attempt to access another user's or organization's data.
Probe, scan, overload or disrupt the service, or work around plan limits or rate limits.
Reverse engineer, resell or rebrand the service.

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms.

Your content

Your expenses, receipts, invoices and business details remain yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store, process and display that content back to you — for example, to run optical character recognition on a receipt image or to generate an invoice PDF. We claim no ownership of it.

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for keeping your own copies of anything you need. Expenses can be exported to CSV, and invoices and reports to PDF, at any time.

Not professional advice

Jade Finance includes expense reporting, tax-deductibility fields, payroll calculations, a mortgage calculator and a property-analysis tool. These are provided for your convenience and are not accounting, tax, legal or financial advice. Figures may be incomplete or incorrect for your circumstances. Verify anything you rely on with a qualified professional before filing a return, paying an employee or making an investment decision.

Availability

We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give reasonable notice so you can export your data.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from More → Delete account in the app. This permanently deletes your account, your expenses, your invoices and your receipt images, and — if you are the last member of your organization — that organization's records. It cannot be undone. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription; cancel that in your Apple ID or Google Play settings.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. To the extent permitted by law, CIBINC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will update the effective date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
